New Lunar year soon

It has been a (yet another!) hot minute since I posted here. The ideas for Liminal Lacunae are changing a bit, but starting to coalesce. The studio is warm enough that the space heater is effective, and it is nice to just sit in the space again and think (without a pressing deadline of some sort). J

Beginning of Summer 2024

Classes and Reviews are done. I have some last bits of grading to finish before Monday morning, SEO and graduation activities next week, and committee work and a self evaluation to do the week after. Then my Winter 2024 school obligations will be finished! I'll be going to California at some point in early June, back for one session at Interlochen (two was too much last summer, and I need some time in the studio), and then a little time back in California before the Fall 2024 semester begins.  Hopefully that will be a good balance this summer.

Summer break 2022

 The winter 22 semester is finally wrapped up, and I am in my studio. This is a marker for me to remember down the road, since I have been in the studio a couple of times this week already, (rather than just sleeping the month of May away, which happens sometimes).  Three things on tap right now: • The multiplane piece (still unnamed) • An animated video installation with 7 screens... 7 short loops (each about 12-15 frames ink & crayon, same for a charcoal cover matte and holdout matte), with digital manipulation in post/edit. (Still unnamed) • A zine using my IG photos (still unnamed) I have to figure out if I can still program an auto-post entry when I get in the studio (like I did for Mustard Seeds), and if I can send it to other platforms.
